Mahika Ralhan is a 14-year-old who began playing chess in first grade. After moving to Pennsylvania in second grade, Mahika became involved with the chess program at her school, Shining Knights Chess. There, she was introduced to the competitive side of chess and started her journey playing in tournaments.

Mahika has competed in various state and national tournaments which include the K-12 national championships in Orlando, Florida, the national elementary championships in Nashville, Tennessee, and the World Open in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Mahika is currently attending the Episcopal Academy and will begin her freshman year this fall. She has experience coaching kids in her area and founded a chess club for students at her elementary school. She enjoyed the opportunity to teach students and specifically created the club to interest more girls in learning the game of chess.

Mahika’s other hobbies include tennis, debate, writing, and reading. Her Coaches is thrilled Mahika has joined our growing team of instructors to engage, train, and motivate our rising Her Move Next community of players!
